Karen Pattani-Hason has been named chief marketing officer of MediaVision International, an original content production company that specializes in music, video and entertainment properties targeting the urban youth market. Karen joins MVI after five years of strategic marketing consulting to the music and entertainment industries. Since graduating from Columbia, Karen has worked as head of new business development at Island Def Jam Music Group, vice president for artists and repertoire at BMG Music Service, national sales and marketing manager at RCA Special Products and unit manager at MTV Networks. Karen and her family recently relocated to Weston, Conn., after 16 years in the East Village. "We are really enjoying the space and quiet in the country, and Weston schools are the best in the area," Karen writes. "I've also been pleasantly surprised by how many other alums are in the area. And New York is not far at all; our main office is in midtown, and I am there every week."
