OUR VISION
: Our board would like to take our club to the next level by developing a more robust infrastructure and putting on more programming.  To do that, we will need funds to reserve venues, subsidize speakers, and offer refreshments.  Your dues will help us become more professional in our communications and administration, and our ultimate goal is to be a club that warrants space for an annual dinner with Dean Hubbard.  There are 1,100 of us in the DC Metro region, the 5th largest concentration in the world.  It is to capitalize on that base – with thought-provoking lectures, networking and socializing that strengthen the Columbia brand – that we ask for your help.

BECOMING A MEMBER: We have set the annual dues at $60, which is pro-rated to $45 for this early April launch!

BENEFITS OF JOINING: Besides helping us to become a better club, your dues will have other benefits as well.  You will get preferred pricing for both our in-house events and reciprocal membership in the Columbia University Club of D.C.

I’m pleased to say that I think 2009 will be a good year for the CBS DC Alumni Club.  By joining us, you can make it even better.  As we learned in business school, you get what you pay for.

So, if you’re convinced and want to join make your check for $45 to Columbia Business School Club of Washington, D.C.

And send it to: Columbia Business School Club of Washington, D.C.

Please join the Alumni Club of Washington D.C. for an intimate discussion on how zoning, public policy and public investment choices create a feedback loop with private real estate development – a phenomenon all the more relevant in light of the VA gubernatorial election’s transit policy debate and the DC Metro Purple Line proposal.
